Our Adventure Called Life

I woke up this morning and just couldn't bring myself to get out of bed. Not out of depression, but I literally couldn't get out of bed. A fever, sore throat, etc. As a mom, we all know that I'm not able to take a sick day. Thankfully, I have a wonder significant other who has helped me with our girls all day, and I got to ACTUALLY stay in bed trying to feel better. I ended up going to our local urgent care... Sinus infection. Woo! Our latest adventure took us to the lake to fish. Ema got an early Christmas gift from Santa, her very own fishing pole! A Frozen one. She's obsessed with Frozen currently. It was a decent day so we decided to go out. There was sand on the lake side. Ema learned to cast her pole and real it in. It has been great for her hand eye coordination. Next visit, we will be actually giving her a hook and bait in the hopes that she will maybe catch a fish. I honestly can't wait to see her reaction when she does catch her own fish. I ended up le...

Sometimes when beginning something new, like this blog for instance, you don't know where to begin. So let's begin with the RIGHT NOW. Jon and Emarosa are blissfully playing right next to me. While it's making typing this extremely difficult, I wouldn't trade the laughter for anything. Who am I? I am Mom... Okay, not all the time. I am the Queen of the household, but you can call me Nicole. I will be one of the two people who post to this thing, trying to hold myself accountable for expressing my everyday life. For sharing the absolutely personal aspects of my life and creating them into something good for this world.... Maybe? Jon will be also posting to this blog. He's the man, the king, who has stepped up to assist me with these two beautiful girls that I have created; not alone of course, but that's a whole different story for a rainy day.
